Under the mandate of the Cabinet of Trinidad and Tobago, the MYPART Programme is staffed by active and retired members of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF).
MYPART Programme staff positions are as follows:
(i) Programme Director - Major, TTDF
(ii) Programme Instructors - TTDF
(iii) Teachers - Ministry of Education
(iv) Support Staff - Retired members, TTDF
(v) Contractual Staff (Counselors, Help Desk Personnel, Net Support Technicians) - Specialised Youth Service Programmes
One unique feature of the MYPART Programme is the employment of successful Civilian Conservation Corps graduates
as Junior Team Commanders (JTC's) and Assistant Team Commanders (ATC's).
These graduates are chosen because they exhibit skills, knowledge, attitudes and values that motivate and inspire the cadets.
Assistant Team Commanders are under the direct supervision of Supervisors/Heads of Departments.
They are responsible for (i) assisting Department Supervisors in carrying out their functions, or as otherwise detailed.
They must also successfully graduate from an ATC course before being posted to any department in the programme.
They are hired for a period not exceeding two (2) calendar years, after graduating from the Civilian Conservation Corps and based on approval from the Trinidad and Tobago Cabinet. However, they may be considered for retention for a further two (2) years in circumstances where they demonstrate exemplary performance of their duties.
Assistant Team Commanders must:
(i) successfully complete the Civilian Conservation Corps training programme;
(ii) be physically fit;
(iii) demonstrate good leadership qualities, work ethic, interpersonal and communication skills, as confirmed by their superiors;
(iv) personify mutual respect, discipline, integrity, service, and professionalism.
Junior Team Commanders are also under the direct supervision of Supervisors/Heads of Departments.
They are responsible for (i) performing any administrative tasks given to them, and (ii) assisting in supervising fellow
co-workers when called upon to do so.
They are hired for a period not exceeding two (2) calendar years or on attaining the age of thirty (30) years, and are evaluated every six (6) months.
Junior Team Commanders must:
(i) have at least two (2) years of experience as an Assistant Team Commander;
(ii) be physically fit;
(iii) demonstrate a high level of maturity, consistent application to duty, good management and leadership skills, good interpersonal skills, and good communication skills, as confirmed by their superiors;
(iv) fully adhere to and personify mutual respect, discipline, integrity, service, and professionalism.
